My name is Jack Zeidman, I was born in Maine, but I grew up in the Los Angeles area. I received my advance degree (in Educational Psychology) from CSUN, and began teaching shortly after graduating. I have taught almost every grade-level, and I’ve worked with a diverse group of students, parents and teachers.
I believe that character and respect should be the foundational pillars undergirding any academic program, and the teachers should strive to maintain high (but realistic) academic standards. I guess you would call me an old-fashioned teacher.
I am a published writer of fantasy. I have completed a collection of short stories, a screen play, many individual short stories, and some poetry. Currently, I am in the process of planning the initial stages of a novel. I am looking forward to this challenging project.
The most important part of my life centers on my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gladys (my wonderful wife) and I try to study the Bible each day (with numerous commentaries). Also, we try to maintain a healthy, vibrant prayer life. God has blessed us in so many ways – including bringing us to St. Leander School.
Please allow me to say that it is truly a great honor being your child’s teacher, and I promise you I will do my best to provide him/her with the best, most comprehensive education possible. When everything is said and done in the school realm, it really is all about the children. It is my prayer that God will always bless them (and everyone connected with St. Leander School) with health and happiness.
May our gracious Lord and Savior shine His light upon us during the coming school year. When the school year is over, may every student feel that his/ her life has been deeply enriched by what he/she has learned at St. Leander School. And, most important of all, may he/ she have developed a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with God.
