Dear Families,
This month began with much anticipation for our field trip to the San Leandro Museum, which is an absolute gem. This educational and fun-filled trip will accompany our learning of the Muwekma Ohlone who lived and continue to flourish locally. The museum is hosting a special family field trip day Saturday 3/18 if you are interested in experiencing this fun with your student. For more information and to register https://sanleandro.libcal.com/event/10243832.
On Friday 3/10, the third grade will lead Stations of The Cross. If you would like to join us in prayer, please meet us in the church. We will begin at 11am.
During the next few weeks in Religion, we will learn about the devotion of the Rosary and reflect on the meaning of Lent and how we might integrate Lenten practices in our lives. In Math, we will be learning more about fractions. We will learn how to compare fractions, order fractions, and find equivalent fractions. Our class novel this trimester is The Cricket in Times Square. We are practicing making predictions, thinking more critically about characters, and learning new literary devices.
